Chapter 7: Renown 7 and Twenty-Five Turns to Get Strong
The quest phase of Chapter 7 is finished. I hit Renown 7, recruited Alexandra and Nydine, finished Castor's mentorship, unlocked the Theater, and still have roughly 25 Turns left with Cai at level 20. The rest of the chapter is now a deliberate power-training window.

The quest part of Chapter 7 is finished.
I cleared all of the available quests, reached Renown 7, completed Castor's Renown-7 mentorship, unlocked the Theater, and recruited both Alexandra and Nydine.
Cai is level 20.
And I still have roughly 25 Turns left.
That changes what the rest of this chapter is for.
I do not need to wander around looking for another checklist. I have a large block of time left after the finite content is done, and I already know I enjoy Cai's core being clearly stronger than the ordinary enemy curve.
So Chapter 7 is now a training camp.
The roster changed at Renown 7
Alexandra is no longer a future target. She is in.
The Support 2 I banked before the Chapter 7 reset carried forward, so once Renown caught up there was nothing left to grind. That is another concrete example of why the restart was useful rather than destructive.
Nydine is also in. Her identity is the mounted/Ornius role, and I want to keep that identity instead of immediately turning a newly recruited character into something unrelated. She gives me another unit who can solve mounted-mobility problems without Cai having to do all of that work himself.
Sofia is still waiting on Renown 9.
Goliath is different: I already have the Support and now I have Renown 7. The only thing between me and recruiting him is 3 Giant's Meat.
That makes him the obvious current target.
The next trip should solve two problems at once
I want more EXP anyway.
Sand-Shadow Fort is a strong next destination because its Part I ideal level is around 23, which is slightly above Cai's current level 20, and a Giant is always present there. That means the same trip can give me meaningful combat and start filling Goliath's Giant's Meat requirement.
That is exactly the kind of routing I want now: one trip, two goals.
After the useful level-appropriate dungeons and Giant hunting are done, I can turn truly spare Turns into Combat Auto-Activities instead of leaving the chapter with unused training time.
My target before advancing
I do not need an exact mathematical stopping point.
The current personal target is roughly:
Cai level 24-25 before Chapter 8.
That is not because the game requires it. It is because level 20 with roughly 25 Turns left looks like an opportunity to get the power curve I actually enjoy.
If I hit 24 and the remaining training feels boring, I stop.
If I hit 25 and I am still having fun, I do not need to stop just because a guide would call me overleveled.
The rule is still the same:
The warning sign is boredom, not being above the recommended level.
What is actually left in Chapter 7
The remaining priorities are now simple:
- Get 3 Giant's Meat and recruit Goliath.
- Use Sand-Shadow Fort and other level-appropriate fights for real EXP.
- Keep the weekly Dagsion routine and calendar checks intact.
- Spend genuinely spare Turns on Combat Auto-Activities.
- Keep Bow EXP +1 as the next Boon target.
- Let Sofia wait naturally for Renown 9 rather than spending time trying to force another relationship gate that is already complete.
The important change is that I am no longer asking, "What quest did I miss?"
I am asking, "How strong do I want this team to feel when I press Continue?"
Where this ended up
The journal keeps the session. These carry the conclusion.
How I'm Playing Fortune's Weave Without Optimizing the Fun Out of It
Understand every system; deliberately optimize only the ones that make the game less repetitive. Finish the game before trying to perfect it, and treat replay as permission to experiment rather than a punishment for missing something.
