What changed

Journal

What actually happened while playing — including the wrong turns, which are usually the useful part. When an entry settles something, the decision log gets updated too.

Leda Part I: My Actual Playthrough

My chronological Leda run after Cai: Kalla's Temple, Olympia's braziers, the Lechner escape reinforcement farm, and inherited carriage access for early weapon shopping and higher-level regions, followed by my first long free-time window with combat-earned weapon proficiency milestones.

Cai Part I: How My Army Actually Developed

My completed Cai Part I run: the restarts, tournament victories, increasingly specialized team, final Bertrand preparation, and what I learned along the way.

The First Tournament Match Finally Clicked

I beat Leda and the demonic beast Event Clash decisively, and I loved it. After restarting Chapter 8, fixing my team's levels and weapons, and abandoning an unproductive Auto-Leveling experiment, the payoff was exactly the powerful, story-first Fire Emblem experience I wanted. There are 32 turns to the next main quest.

Table Tennis Was the Surprise, but I Kept Flying

Stuart and I tried Thumb Wrestling, Table Tennis, flying and the jet ski. Boxing was fun too, but the quiet surprise was how much I liked Table Tennis and how easy it was to lose myself exploring Wuhu Island by plane.

Giant's-Print Fort, the Raven Rescue, and Why I Restarted Chapter 8

I took Cai to a level-35 fort, saw the Pale Raven clear desperate battles, got Cai into his low 30s, and still watched the team fall behind. By the time I'd spent the travel turns and cleared most enemies, I restarted. This time I'm training the whole seven-person squad.

Chapter 8: Cai Is Strong Enough. The Team Is Not.

After the qualifier, the problem finally became obvious in the numbers: Cai was already level 25 and excellent, while half the roster was still in the mid-to-high teens. Chapter 8 is the point where I stop feeding Cai and deliberately build a team that can survive without him standing next to it.

Chapter 7: Renown 7 and Twenty-Five Turns to Get Strong

The quest phase of Chapter 7 is finished. I hit Renown 7, recruited Alexandra and Nydine, finished Castor's mentorship, unlocked the Theater, and still have roughly 25 Turns left with Cai at level 20. The rest of the chapter is now a deliberate power-training window.

Chapter 6, Attempt Three: The Mastery Run

My third Chapter 6 attempt stopped feeling like a restart and started feeling like mastery: permanent progress survived, the route got efficient, the qualifier was caught, Majide joined, and the chapter finally ran the way I wanted it to.

Chapter 6: I Finally Know How Strong I Want Cai to Feel

The Thundercloud Knights qualifier taught me that I do not actually want a tightly level-matched Cai run. I like the kids feeling trained, dangerous, and clearly stronger than ordinary enemies, and Chapter 6 is where I changed my progression plan around that.

4/1: Noctula In, Sofia Next, One Ghost Left

It is Sunday 4/1 at 03:35. Increase EXP +10% is bought, Noctula is recruited, Sofia is my current Support project, and Monster in the Night is the only Subquest left before the 4/10 Thundercloud Knights qualifier.

Chapter 5 Starts With Training Done and a Full Quest Log

I am on the first day of Chapter 5 Free Time. Temple service is done, Arena training is done, a new batch of quests is accepted, and both Guzran and Yang Jie are now confirmed members of the roster.

    Everything Is Cleared Before 3/7

I found the missing granddaughter, cleared every available quest, reached Renown level 3, and stopped before the Gaia Brigade qualifier to understand the stat screen instead of charging ahead half-informed.

The Mine Where I Worked Out What I Like

A hair clip, a mine, a first world-map Skirmish, and the moment I stopped feeling guilty about the auto-battle button.

    Dagsion Errands Done, Peter Next

A short session: the Armorer and Shop tutorial errands, and the point where I put the controller down.
