Chapter 5 is properly underway now.
I am on the first day of the new Free Time stretch. I completed the Temple service, accepted the new batch of quests, and finished the Arena training I wanted before I started spending the rest of the period on errands.
One of the new requests is to catch 2 Wild Orniuses, which is a useful reminder that the Stables/Luring systems are no longer background systems I can ignore.
The training plan is also no longer hypothetical. I used the Arena work to reinforce the jobs I have already chosen:
- Cai continues down the Spear/Rider lane.
- Peter stays the dedicated Bow specialist.
- Tialla gets more offensive-magic attention because the next qualifier gives her a real reason to attack rather than spending every useful turn healing.
The roster is clearer now too.
Guzran is the large physical unit who joined through the early recruitment introduction. He remains flexible physical frontline glue rather than somebody I need to force into an exotic specialization immediately.
Yang Jie is also confirmed as recruited. His White Magic/support capability means Tialla no longer has to carry the entire support burden herself. That opens the option of letting Tialla spend more turns doing the magical damage I actually trained her for.
So the current rhythm is simple:
weekly training done → Chapter 5 quests now → use the expanded roster instead of trying to make the original three do every job.
Where this ended up
The journal keeps the session. These carry the conclusion.
What Every Character Stat Actually Means
Read raw stats as inputs, not outcomes. Str/Mag drive damage, Dex drives accuracy and crit consistency, Spd plus Bld determine whether equipment leaves enough Attack Speed to follow up, Def/Res become the two defensive lanes, and Mov determines how much map a unit can actually influence.

Growth Rates, Level-Ups & How Classes Shape My Stats
A growth rate is the chance that a base stat gains a point on level-up. Characters have personal growth tendencies, and the currently equipped class changes those growth rates. Class choice is therefore the main confirmed way to shape future stat gains; derived stats such as Attack Speed and Hit are calculated afterward from the resulting base stats plus equipment and other modifiers.

Early Money & Why I Am Saving the Pearls
Finish the available quests, keep Insect Pearls and Large Insect Pearls for their quest chain, use Vandahl Trading when spare materials can replace gold, and avoid treating every shop upgrade as mandatory.
