Cai Part I: Stats, Builds, and Lessons from My Completed Run

Historical combat stats, final reported levels and weapons, recruitment and replay cautions from my Cai Part I run, with evidence confidence made explicit.

My short answer

My completed Cai Part I army centered on S+ Spear Cai and Alexandra, Noctula's physical pressure, Jasmine's defensive counters, Peter's bow, Guzran's speed, and complementary mages. Late levels are estimates, not final screenshots.

Where I am
After the Lechner escape encounter I reached my first approximately 120-turn free-time window, and arena training has now unlocked. My Leda team is already roughly level 9-14, with Leda about 14 and Mu about 10-11 (all approximate). Leda already has Bow C or better, Mini Bow, Longbow and Chosen Sword. Mu earned Gauntlets C and Swords D in the Lechner battle before the arena was even available; she has Qiankun Circles obtained via Cai's carriage shortcut. Buccar has Da Mina Axe. The blacksmith is not unlocked yet, so weapon maintenance is my near-term concern. Guzran retained Pale Raven Support level 3 across the Cai and Leda stories.
Next
Use the current free-time window for intentional weapon/class development, weekly activities, Support and repair planning rather than unnecessary inn auto-leveling. Preserve valuable Combat Art durability until the blacksmith opens. Check the exact chapter/deadline and roster before assigning turns.

This is the reference notebook, separate from the story of how I played. It intentionally distinguishes screenshot checkpoints, verbal reports, and unresolved rules. Don't treat a loadout from one date as the equipment on another.

Important: Dreadnought Jasmine, Warrior Noctula, and Troubadour Yang Jie were ideas, not confirmed promotions. Goliath recruitment is unconfirmed.

Finale result, reported retrospectively on November 6

The completed Bertrand finale was mostly a one-hit victory over ordinary opponents; Goliath and Bertrand were the reported tougher exceptions. The team was mostly high 30s/low 40s. The player thinks one unit was lost, perhaps Sofia, but neither the precise number of casualties nor Sofia's identity is confirmed. These are recollections, not final-battle screenshots.

This is a desired outcome: the purpose of extensive preparation is to make the final battle overwhelmingly favorable, not to create a close fight. Mastery comes from combat-training the chosen proficiencies, building complementary roles and discovering systemic advantages. Evaluating the finale as underwhelming simply because enemies were easy would misrepresent the player's preference.

Reliable personal lessons

  • Mobility and doubling: Cai's switch to Meganius traded Paired Bulk for movement. More reach with approximately 34 AS felt preferable to the old bulk setup; evaluate damage forecasts before declaring the mount universally superior.
  • Counterattacking defender: Jasmine's goal is surviving enemy-phase attacks and killing in reply. Counter skills, protection, coverage, and weapon range matter more than an impressive defense figure alone. Her AS went from 0 in a screenshot to verbally reported 7 after a new ability.
  • Role differentiation: Tialla's offensive magic and buffs complement Sofia's dedicated healing; Peter's bow, Guzran's sword, Noctula's gauntlets and Alexandra's flying spear solve different threats.
  • Sensible leveling: The approximately 40-turn inn Auto-Leveling test was unimpressive on this save. Regular fights felt more useful. Cai's higher level was not the outcome of a planned solo grind.
  • Quests and resources: All tracked Chapter 12 quests were reported completed in the replay, including the earlier White-Maned Demon's Request. Renown was capped. The Star Spear +1 earlier required five Phlogiston for repair; do not interpret that earlier requirement as final durability.
  • Licenses: All three reported ordinary-shop Advanced Licenses in Chapter 12 had been purchased and used. The Giant's-Print Fort license chest status was uncertain; there was no remaining license in inventory at that checkpoint.
  • Recruitment: The Chapter 10 restart really happened. The approximately 25-recruit count was reported during Chapter 12, but the final list isn't photographed. Goliath's three Giant's Meat requirement made Dietrich's route an appealing alternative to repeating Cai's finale.

Mechanics still needing independent verification

These are questions, not established guide facts:

  1. Whether chapter replay replaces a completed chapter's snapshot or merges all previously earned progress.
  2. Exact Part I → Part II equipment/repair and inventory carryover rules.
  3. Specific cross-route recruit eligibility rules for the combined army.
  4. Dreadnought certification and the real AS change for Jasmine's new ability.
  5. How all Blessing levels and partial progress carry between Part I routes; check Leda's menu in-game.
  6. The exact effects, costs and tiers of late Boons of Salvation, especially when published guides contradict the actual save.

The Leda prep guide applies the lessons while clearly marking proposed builds.

  • In-gameMy own Fortune's Weave save (Cai, Part I)

Oct 30 new firsthand update: reached Cai Part I Chapter 12 Just One Wish, turn 1. No new character levels, equipment changes or Chapter 11 event outcomes supplied; the October 29 roster is last directly measured. Historical: Oct 29 Switch screenshots prove all eight exact levels, classes, HP, combat stats, current equipped gear and character abilities: Cai41 Alexandra36 Tialla36 Peter32 Guzran32 Noctula31 Sofia31 Jasmine30. Also the personal background screens for all eight. Fewer than about 20 turns left in Cai Part I Chapter 10, with Giant's-Print Fort and Bertrand/Talimun complete. The Oct 26 observations and older level-28 Jasmine screenshot remain historical; do not infer unreported level-up rolls, completed Anna quest or a chapter replay.

  • In-gamePlayer-reported Cai finale and Leda free-time roster, Nov 6 2026

User reports Cai finale was an overwhelming victory: most ordinary enemies fell in one hit, except for Goliath and Bertrand. Nearly everyone was high-30s or low-40s. Approximately one unit may have been lost; Sofia is a possibility, not a confirmed casualty. Later in Leda Part I, after Lechner and at the first approximately 120-turn free-time window with arena training just unlocked, team levels are estimated 9-14, Leda around 14 and Mu around 10-11. Leda already has Bow C or above from combat, Mini Bow, Longbow and Chosen Sword. Mu had already reached Gauntlets C and Swords D using real combat in the Lechner encounter, before arena training; Qiankun Circles purchased. Buccar has Da Mina Axe. Blacksmith access has not yet opened, making weapon repair an immediate concern. Guzran's Pale Raven Support 3 persisted from Cai into Leda's story. These are firsthand user reports, but all approximated levels and the identity of any fallen unit are still estimates.

  • In-gameMy one-playthrough mastery-through-preparation preferences

Owner's stated play philosophy: an overwhelming one-shot victory is the reward for excellent preparation and mastery of systems, not evidence that a battle was boring. Close battles indicate a possible preparation gap rather than being inherently preferable. Prefer intentional combat proficiency, class development, gear, support and route synergies over generic auto-leveling. Owner expects to play all four Part I stories and personally play all four Part II War Arcs rather than auto-skip, because personally training 20-30 familiar characters is part of the experience, especially after qualifiers with unfamiliar borrowed units. Owner might not replay the whole game and is interested in DLC.
